Start with the way a colour behaves.

Warm or cool?

Compare similar-depth peach and rose fabrics near your face in daylight. Temperature is a useful clue, but gold jewellery or vein colour alone cannot choose your season.

Check your undertone

Light or deep?

Try a light, medium and dark version of one colour. See whether lighter shades give your features room or deeper colours create a clearer frame. Skin depth by itself is not a season.

Soft or clear?

Compare a muted shade with a clearer one, keeping lighting consistent. Use several fabrics and watch your face rather than choosing a favourite colour from the screen.

These guides use familiar 12-season names. Deep Autumn and Deep Winter are also called Dark Autumn and Dark Winter. A more detailed system may use different labels; compare the colours themselves before changing your wardrobe.
